About Us

Our Mission

By raising awareness of human rights and humanitarian conditions in Afghanistan, we strive to empower all communities regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, creed, or language. We also aim to promote public support for human rights in the country.

Our Values

To achieve political, social, and economic development, it is essential that diversity and pluralism be embraced and that the rights of both men and women be equally respected. This requires a bottom-up approach that empowers the various communities.

Our Vision

We work to ensure that women are granted equal rights and freedom, are able to pursue education, employment, and political office without restriction, and receive justice. We envision a world in which women can participate fully and equally in all aspects of life, free from discrimination and oppression.

About Us

Mosaic Afghanistan was founded in 2022 with the mission of creating a more equitable and just society for all Afghan people. We strive to promote human rights in Afghanistan, championing the cause of pluralism and diversity in the country.

  • Provided humanitarian cash transfers to around 100,000 unique households.
  • Provided 17.3 million people with out-patient health care.
  • Reached more than 3.5 million people with safe water for drinking, cooking and personal hygiene.
  • Reached 1.7 million children and their caregivers with a range of urgent child protection services including mental health and psychosocial support services.

What’s happening in Afghanistan?

What is the current situation in Afghanistan?

Afghanistan continues to face many challenges as it strives to rebuild and strengthen its democracy. The security situation remains fragile, with the government still struggling to protect the civilians from harm. The economy is largely dependent on foreign aid and security-related spending, while poverty, unemployment and corruption remain widespread. In addition, the nation is experiencing challenges in its effort to rebuild its infrastructure and promote economic development.

What measures can be taken to reduce the number of people affected by poverty, hunger, and disease in Afghanistan?

Measures that can be taken include increasing access to education, providing access to health care services, promoting economic opportunities, improving access to clean water and sanitation, and providing food assistance and nutrition programs. Also, it is important to work with local communities to empower them to participate in decision-making and find ways to improve their situation.

How is UNICEF responding to the situation in Afghanistan?

At this pivotal moment in Afghanistan, UNICEF is taking action to ensure more children have access to education. UNICEF is providing textbooks to schools, training female teachers, and expanding Community-Based Education classes. Additionally, UNICEF is exploring alternative pathways to education, including financial support for small-scale initiatives and lessons on tablets, radio or TV. By taking these steps, UNICEF is committed to fostering a generation with greater rights and access to education.

How can you help?

There are many ways to help the people of Afghanistan, such as donating to charities, volunteering with organizations that are providing relief and support to the people, or advocating for policies that will benefit the people and supports peace and stability in Afghanistan. You can also use your voice to raise awareness about the plight of the Afghan people and encourage your friends and family to do the same.

"Hi ! In Panjshir, I have established classes for some girls, who have denied access to school. With the financial support of Mosaic, I provided part of the stationary, books and winterization materials for our classes. I want to thank Mosaic for their support."
